  • Product Brand: FOSHION
  • Product Category: Surgical Instruments

PGLA Is A Sterile, Absorbable Synthetic, Multifilament Surgical Suture, Composed of Polyester Polydioxanone. The Sutures Coating Material Is polycaprolactone and calcium stearate.

Product Details

The PDO suture is indicated for use in soft tissue approximation and/or ligation but not use in cardiovascular tissue and neurological tissue. It meets all the requirements of United States Pharmacopoeia(USP) and European Pharmacopoeia(EP) for absorbable surgical sutures.

Advantages

  •  PDO sutures have a high initial tensile strength. 75% of the original tensile strength is retained up to two weeks after surgery, 60% of the original tensile strength is retained at the end of four weeks post implantation. Absorption of PDO suture is minimal up tp 10% in two weeks, and aborption is essentially complete between 180 and 210 days.
  • A slight tissue inflammation may occur when PDO sutures are placed in tissue, which is characteristic of foreign body response followed by gradual encapsulation by connective tissue.
